Can you love God and Science Both?

We love science in this house. And we love Jesus.

Despite a centuries long struggle for some, there’s no division for us.

We celebrate God’s incredible creativity of space and galaxies and planets and stars as well as the earth itself and all the humans and animals that live here.

The heavens tell the glory of God. And the skies announce what his hands have made.
Psalm 19:1

It’s one reason we’re so excited about this new book by Pastor Louie Giglio. {We were gifted a copy for our honest opinion and you have a chance to win your own copy below.} Pastor Giglio shares how “it’s impossible to out-imagine God. He orchestrates time, creates light, and speaks things into existence—from the largest stars to the smallest starfish. God is a powerful, purposeful, personal, unparalleled Creator.”

The thing is, we need to be intentionally inviting our children to think about the hard questions they bump into in everyday life, while helping them uncover God’s glory in all of creation.

It’s one of many reasons I love this book. These 100 beautifully illustrated entries cover topics from all areas of science, with devotions on creation and evolution and animals, as well as space and the universe and medical science and geology and weather and so. much. more.

But more important than my opinion, my eight-year-old grand-daughter loves it too.

Truth is, we’re both enjoying the ability to discover inspiring scientific facts laced throughout these outstanding illustrations. We don’t have to read but for a minute to uncover fascinating and faith-deepening truths about how great God really is. And get this — my girl retains it, reminding us of the newly gleaned insights for days after reading!

Tucked inside Indescribable: 100 Devotions for Kids About God and Science, you’ll find each devotion includes Scripture, a story, an application, a prayer, and a fascinating science section. Because our children shouldn’t be forced to choose between their faith and science.
