So You Think You Can Write

Stir It Up!

May 22, 2011March 11, 2014 Jo Ann Fore 5 Comments So You Think You Can Write, The Writer's Life

Guest post by Lisa Buffaloe Cooking is not my forte. A well-known fact when we lived in Chicagoland—our neighbors panicked when they heard my husband’s boss and wife were coming for dinner. I prepared my one “guest worthy” meal, and my helpful (alarmed) friends showed up on our doorstep with side dishes and Hors d’oeuvres.  […]

The Divine Dance

March 31, 2011March 11, 2014 Jo Ann Fore 4 Comments So You Think You Can Write, The Writer's Life

Ever sit at the computer keyboard and the words flow? No blocks. No disapproving boos. No self-editor who yells, “Stop. Rework it–it’s not good enough.” Nothing but blissful creativity. Those moments are rare. A writer’s life is hard work. There always seems to be a better way to structure a sentence. Or maybe an idea […]

🌿 3 Quick Ways to Reclaim 30 Minutes TodayDo you ever feel like the clock is running your life instead of you? You’re not alone, friend. Most of us live in a time-starvation spiral — running fast, but still behind. But here’s the truth: you can create margin. Even today. Here are 3 quick ways to free up 30 minutes you didn’t know you had:✨ 1. Batch the errands.Instead of running out three times this week, combine the trips. Gas in the tank, time back in your pocket.✨ 2. Set a “faithful finish line.”Give your chores or email a timer. Tell yourself, “I’ll give this 20 minutes, then it’s done.” You’ll be surprised how much clarity comes when you stop giving everything unlimited access to your energy.✨ 3. Guard 10 minutes with God.Open your Bible app, whisper a prayer while folding laundry, or jot a verse on a sticky note. Those 10 minutes reset the whole day.🕊️ Little shifts create holy margin. And margin creates space for peace, presence, and joy.#unbusymePic Credit: © Yevgeniya131988 | Dreamstime.com ... See MoreSee Less

Come, let us have some tea and talk about living life from a place of rest.

Grateful doesn’t begin to cover how appreciative Grateful doesn’t begin to cover how appreciative I am for the incredibleness of Lacey Jane.

With a maturity far beyond her years, yesterday she stood by my side and held my shaky hands for a surgery I have dreaded for months.

Surgery of any kind is a difficult ordeal for me, since my body often reacts unpredictably due to underlying health issues making recovery difficult.

But Step by step, prayer by prayer, we have successfully navigated the first 24 hours in a way that promises an effective and uncomplicated recovery! (Incredibly grateful to those who have also carried me with prayer!)
