Guest post by Rita Schulte Marry a whore. Keep her as your wife. She will betray you continuously, but you must love her and never leave her. You will be rejected continuously. You will be seen as a fool. Your life will be painful, your reputation challenged. You will need to trust me. You will […]
Write Where It Hurts
God has used writing in my life in a powerful way. As a word-lover, an author, I’ve learned this, how sometimes we write for publication, yes, but how sometimes we write simply to reconcile. To uncover truths and connect dots in ways that sometimes aren’t possible until we sit quiet with the pressing questions.
Today, I’m passionate about writing as a healing tool. You’ll find Write Where It Hurts a connection point, an invitation to women and conversations that bring healing. We need that, don’t we? A place where can we can drop all the masks and cut through the hard stuff.
Come join us. In our online community here, you’ll find hope, encouragement, and practical tools along with a challenge to live intentionally. Pull up a chair. Grab a spot of tea, or your favorite java. Be encouraged and inspired as you connect with other brave-hearted women who have faced unfathomable trials with courage. Risk the writing challenges, and be rewarded with a fresh perspective of your own.
Truth in the Details
Guest post by Lisa Luke Easterling I write my truth at my desk in the little office space off the kitchen, with windows all around but often closed to keep out much of the light. There is something comforting about semi-darkness, not to hide me but to allow calm for thinking. I write my truth in […]
The Blessing of Affirmation
Guest post by Cheryl Cope When things start to feel difficult, which seems to occur on a regular basis, I turn to God in a fresh way by making use of biblical affirmations. This means taking God’s promises to believers in Scripture and rewording them into affirmations to speak over myself. First, I pinpoint the […]
Wonder and Lightning
Guest post by Lisa Easterling I watched him descend the stairs at the ice forum one evening, his lanky frame sauntering in characteristic fashion and making me smile at memories of watching him walk across parking lots and down mall midways and across rooms for more than thirty years. I watched him until he disappeared around […]
The Taming of a Mind
Guest post by Alyssa Avant Most newlywed brides live in a fantasy land seemingly unshaken by anything negative that might arise in the new marriage. Despite no real negativity in my young marriage, my mind quickly conjured up problems of astronomical magnitude. From a young age my mind would often spin into overdrive with a […]

The Mother Connection
Guest post by Susan Tolles I was adopted as a newborn, and for the past 55 years I have longed to fill the hole in my life with my birthmother’s love. Growing up as an only child in a home that was happy but not particularly nurturing, I yearned to find the woman who so courageously gave me […]
The Writing of a Known Life
What mark are you making on this earth while you yet live? Are you known? Are your words stamping, making permanent your presence here? What are you writing right now that will live alongside you, beyond you, in lines that will live forever? Write, my friend. Write to be truly, deeply, eternally…known.
A Place of Peace

Trust And Believe
Guest post by Beth Jones The drums of Africa beat within my heart. I have never been there, but one day I will go. I believe God has an impartation for me there—much like when He spoke to me that I’d go to Israel and Niagara Falls and had impartations for me there. Because […]
